The seat of government of Shohomish County, Everett now has a population over 100,000. Everett is no Seattle suburb, having developed on it's own considerable merits for well over 100 years. Most of the Boeing Company's commercial aircraft are assembled here. Everett is an important seaport hosting as well, the US Navy Abraham Lincoln carrier fleet. Almost a well kept secret is that Everett has the best sandy beach in Puget Sound on Jetty Island. The city has over 50 miles of freshwater and saltwater shoreline. With it's proximity to mountains and waterways, Everett is a source of unbounded adventure and leisure. the city hosts three semi-pro teams. Everett takes pride in it's Aquasox baseball and formidable Silvertips hockey team. Everett also hosts arena football with the Hawks. It's genuine entertainment at a bargain price. These are just a few reasons we say Everett is a great place to live.
